How should bullet terminals be wired?

2024-10-28

Bullet terminal (also known as bullet connector or bullet socket) is a common electronic connector used to connect wires and sockets on circuit boards in electronic devices. The wiring process usually includes the following steps:

1. Preparation work: Ensure that the work area is clean and prepare necessary tools such as screwdrivers, wire strippers, electrical tape, etc.

2. Wire stripping: Use wire stripping pliers to strip the outer layer of the wire according to the required length of wiring. Usually, the stripping length is 2-3mm.

3. Positioning: Insert the stripped wire into the hole of the spring type terminal, ensuring that the wire is clamped between the spring pieces.

4. Tightening: Use a screwdriver or other tool to gently tighten the spring plate to ensure good contact between the wire and the terminal, without looseness.

5. Inspection: After wiring is completed, check whether the wires of each terminal are correctly connected to ensure that there are no short circuits or poor contacts.

6. Fixation: If necessary, electrical tape or other insulating materials can be used to secure the wires to prevent loosening or wear.

7. Testing: After wiring is completed, conduct appropriate testing to ensure proper connection and proper functioning of the circuit.
